‘Flügel wachsen auch im Dunkeln’ is in essence a story about the search for love and freedom. 

A story about family, history and heritage. A story about painful decisions and good intentions that leave scars. 

A story about how things repeat itself not only within one life but across generations. 

A search for how to break destructive patterns so my daughter and generations after her no longer have to carry them.
